The SHEARS Cosmetology Mission
The school’s principal objective is to prepare its graduates for careers in Cosmetology, Teacher of Cosmetology, Esthetics, Braiding and Nail Technology.
The school strives continuously to improve its operations in order to keep abreast with the ever-changing developments and new techniques in Cosmetology, Teacher of Cosmetology, Esthetics, Braiding and Nail Technology.
The school observes all rules and regulations by the Accrediting Agency, Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology, and the Health Department.
The school encourages their instructors to keep abreast of modern teaching methods via education literature, continuing education, workshops and trade shows. Annually, the school will travel to the New York International Hair Show, New York City.
The school takes part in educational conferences and regional meetings in order to advance the Cosmetology, Teaching, Esthetics, Braiding and Nail Technology profession.
The school makes use of modern teaching techniques and training aids, such as textbooks, workshops and audio-visual aids.
The school purchases only high-grade standard equipment, cosmetics, and supplies to be used for instruction of its students.
The school maintains honest and fair relationships with the staff, students, patrons, Accrediting Agency (even though school has not received accreditation at present time), Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology and other schools.
The school advertises truthfully and makes honest representations to the students. The school does not recruit students already attending or admitted to another school offering a similar program of study.
The school refrains from any advertisements or criticisms that may reflect unfavorably on other Schools of Cosmetology, Teacher’s Program, Esthetics, Natural Hair Braiding, and the Nail Technology professions.
